Musk diffuser oils
Musk is the note most people cannot name and most rooms are missing. In a diffuser oil it is clean, soft and faintly warm, closer to fresh linen than to anything animal, and its job is to hold a composition together and make it last. Twenty-one ISCENT fragrances finish on it, which makes it the most common base in the collection.
Three ways to use it. White musk under florals, in White Tea, Whispering Blooms, Sense and Vanilla Rose, gives a bedroom or bathroom the clean, just-made feeling that hotel housekeeping is known for. Musk under citrus, in Citrus Elixir, Neroli, Eclat de Bois d'Orange and Top Of The World, keeps a bright morning composition from evaporating to nothing by lunchtime. Musk under oriental warmth, in Milano, Avenue No. 1 and Noire Vanille, turns an evening fragrance velvety rather than heavy.
Musk is quiet by design, so it is the family to choose for shared spaces and for anyone who finds most home fragrance too much. Cold-air diffusion carries it as a dry mist, with no water and no heat, and the note stays soft rather than turning powdery. A 100 ml bottle in the Ensō lasts about three weeks to a month at roughly eight hours a day.
For a first bottle, White Tea is the reference clean musk; Milano is the evening one.

Take The QuizQuestions we are asked about musk diffuser oils.
What does musk smell like as a home fragrance?
Clean, soft and faintly warm, like freshly laundered linen. The musks used in ISCENT compositions are white musks, not animal-derived, and they sit under the other notes rather than leading.
Which musk fragrance smells like a hotel?
White Tea. Green tea and crisp citrus over soft white florals, finished on woods, amber and musk, is the structure most guests recognise from a spa or lobby.
Is musk suitable for a shared office or a small flat?
Yes. Musk-based compositions are the least intrusive in the collection and are the usual choice where several people share the air. Run the Ensō on a low setting in short sessions.
How many musk fragrances does ISCENT make?
Twenty-one finish on a musk base. The 10 ml size for the Ensō Mini is the way to compare a floral musk with a citrus or oriental one.
