A signature scent that greets every guest the same way

The lobby is the first room a guest reads, and the last one they carry home. A signature hotel scent gives that reading a name. ISCENT composes, installs and maintains scent programmes for hotels in Dubai and across the UAE, from a single boutique property to a portfolio rollout, and has done so for ten years.

What a hotel scent programme includes

  • Composition. Our master perfumers translate the property's brief into a bespoke fragrance, refined with your team through sampling until it is unmistakably yours, or we select from an extensive fragrance library when a signature is not required.
  • Diffusion matched to the architecture. Standalone cold-air diffusers for lobbies, lounges and spa reception; HVAC-integrated diffusion for atriums, corridors and multi-floor public areas, so the scent reads evenly rather than in pockets. Cold-air diffusion uses no heat and no water and leaves no residue on marble, textiles or leather.
  • Servicing. Scheduled fragrance replenishment, performance checks and intensity adjustments by our own technicians, logged per unit, so nobody on the hotel side has to think about it.
  • Compliance. Every fragrance is IFRA-compliant with Health and Safety certification from Dubai Municipality, composed without parabens, phthalates or synthetics.

Where scent goes in a hotel

Lobby and reception first, because that is where the memory is made. Then the spaces guests linger in: the lounge, the spa reception, the corridors on the way to the room, and the ballroom pre-function area on event days. Guest rooms are scented only where a property wants the signature to follow the guest, and then more lightly. We map coverage room by room during the consultation and specify units per zone rather than per square metre, because ceiling height, air changes and door traffic matter more than floor area.

  • A five-star hotel in Downtown Dubai. 77 cold-air units, 51 of them in lift lobbies, and the rest across the lobby lounges, the ballroom pre-function area, the spa and relaxation areas, the washrooms, the dining venues and the changing and prayer rooms, all carrying one signature composition, serviced monthly. Live since 2025.
  • A resort hotel in Abu Dhabi. 18 units on two systems: HVAC-integrated diffusion through the building's air-handling units together with lift landings on six floors for the public areas, and a second, deeper composition in the washrooms, cafe and beach house. Live since 2024, serviced monthly.

What it costs

Questions hotels ask

Can guests with sensitivities be accommodated? Yes. Cold-air diffusion is heatless and waterless, intensity is adjustable per unit, and the fragrances are IFRA-compliant. We can specify unscented zones and lighter settings by area.

Does the scent affect the interiors? No. The mist is dry and residue-free; nothing settles on stone, fabric or wood.

How quickly can a lobby be live? Standalone diffusion can be live within days of sign-off; HVAC-integrated projects depend on the property's plant and access, and you will have a timeline with the proposal.

Who maintains it? We do, on a scheduled cycle, with replenishment included in the engagement.
